  • Provide opportunities for foreign travelers to enjoy local culture and traditions, whilst giving something positive back to the community.
  • Support the local economy through responsible travel.
  • Assist volunteers in learning new skills whilst also giving them a voice to help shape our Ecoreach Foundation.
  • Provide volunteers with an affordable experience with the guarantee that some part of the fees go to the community.

Why Volunteer with ecoreach

Support local people and environment

The Ecoreach Volunteer Programme provides you with a great opportunity to connect with local Nepali people. Our activities are based within the disadvantaged communities of Nepal where your contribution really matters and provides you with first-hand insight. Volunteers also have the opportunity to stay in a home-stay if they would like, where they can further connect with local people.

Learn new skills

As well as the skills you already bring to the program, you will also undoubtedly learn new ones! Working with a local community will give you an appreciation of how to look at things from a different perspective, work around issues that would have been no problem at home, and develop your communication skills – at the very least!

Volunteer while travelling

We understand that our volunteers would also like to see our beautiful country and with this in mind, offer flexible schedules and considered project matching strategies so that we can all achieve our goals. Whether you have one week or ten, together we will work on a plan to ensure you can fit volunteering into your journey.

Reasonable fees

Ecoreach value the fees volunteers pay to the organization and we try to keep our fees to a minimum. Our volunteering fees starts from $100 per week that covers volunteer expenses such as airport pickup, food, local travel and home-stay accommodation. Some part of the fees goes to our projects.

Tailoring to your travel schedule

Ecoreach arrange programs in such a way that it meets the need of your travel schedule.

I volunteered for Ecoreach for one week in October, and although I happened to be there for the week of Tihar, and didn’t actually end up doing much volunteering because of the holiday, it was still one of the best weeks I’ve ever had whilst travelling!

I had the pleasure of working with Ecoreach recently. It was really great to see Rajani, Madan and the entire team. The work they do is incredible.

I am from the Australia and volunteered on Ecoreach Foundation for 2 weeks in total. I highly recommend volunteering with Ecoreach, as I had a very positive experience and plan to continue volunteering with Ecoreach remotely going forward.
